Mrs. Louise Wiggins McBryde, age 94, of Cedartown, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 14, 2017 following an extended illness.
Mrs. McBryde was born on June 7, 1923 in Cedartown, a daughter to the late Thomas and Katie Lee Hood Wiggins.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Doyle McBryde and two sisters, Ruby C. Wiggins and Lavonia W. McLarty.
She was retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Cedartown, where she served as an administrative secretary in the Spinning line and later in the Plants office.
Mrs. McBryde was a longtime member of the Little Cedar United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Gary and Marsha McBryde Sr.; her grandchildren, Christy and Todd Bowman, Gary McBryde Jr. and Brian and Brandy McBryde; her great grandchildren, Alliyah, Riley, Dadrien, Kayleigh and Rihanna McBryde. A number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise W. McBryde were conducted on Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cordell officiating.
Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery.
The family received friends on Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2017 prior to the funeral hour at the Litesey Funeral Home.

Mr. Eugene Talmadge Yarbrough, age 84, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at his residence.
He was born at home in Aragon, on Sept. 24, 1933 a son of Albert M. Yarbrough Sr. and Betty Irene Caldwell Yarbrough.
Mr. Yarbrough was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from the General Motors Corporation having worked at the Lakewood assembly plant for 35 years.
Mr. Yarbrough was also a member of Local 34 of the United Auto Workers Union. He has lived in Carrollton for the past ten years moving there from the Mableton area.
Mr. Yarbrough was a member of the Eureka Baptist Church. He loved spending time with family and friends, working in his yard,gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters: Velma Durham, Margaret Yarbrough, Frances Yarbrough, Geneva Yarbrough and Mildred Warren and by five brothers: Carl, J.P., Johnny, Glenn and Albert M. Yarbrough Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce Yarbrough, Carrollton to whom he was married on July 30, 1955; daughter, Sabriena Wyatt and her husband Tommy, Waco; son, Dennis “Dink” Yarbrough, Carrollton; grandchildren: Chad and Heather Yarbrough, Brittany and David Thompson, Bo and Kristen Wyatt, Jonathan Yarbrough and Sydney Wyatt and Cory Pearson; great grandchildren: Avery and Kamryn Thompson, Madalyn Yarbrough, Molly and Hannah Yarbrough, Memphis McKenzie, Christopher, Zackery and Matthew Morgan and baby to be Pepper Pearson; sister, Martha Kell, Douglasville and brother, Melvin Yarbrough, Rockmart; numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Goddard and Rev. Russell Shadrix officiating and granddaughter Brittany Thompson delivering the eulogy.
Interment followed in the Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown-Wright Post #12 of the American Legion in charge of military graveside rites.
The following gentlemen served as active and honorary pallbearers: Active: Chad Yarbrough, Bo Wyatt, David Thompson, Cory Pearson, Terry Dorris and Brad Yarbrough. Honorary: Jonathan Yarbrough, Steve Yarbrough, Randy Dorris and K.V. Scoggins.

Mr. Mark Leon Morris, age 64 of Dublin, formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1952 in Rome, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon and Gilda Thompson Morris.
Mr. Morris is survived by his parents; daughters, Megan Sharrow (Jason) and Kaley Morris; sister, Melissa Morris Cain (Bob) and grandsons, Carter Sharrow and Gunner Hatch.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. Mark Leon Morris were conducted on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Cedartown with Rev. DeWayne Gibson, Mrs. Megan Sharrow and Rev. Mike Broome officiating.
Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. John Ralph “Mac” McCarson, III, age 63 of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017.
He was born on July 10, 1954 in Cedartown.
Mr. McCarson is survived by his mother, Bonita Sutton Hobbs; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica M. and Brandon Atkins; sisters, Leigh Ann McCarson Adams (Kirk), Dea McCarson Chandler (Jim) and Rae McCarson; grandchildren, Gabriel Atkins and Landry Atkins; nieces, Tara Doria and Zella Vacarron and nephews, Christopher Correll, Stephen Adams and Carson Ellis.
Mr. McCarson is preceded in death by his father, John Ralph McCarson Jr. and son, John Ralph McCarson IV.

Mrs. Angela Jean Powell Evans, age 56 of Weaver, Ala., formerly of Aragon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017.
Mrs. Evans was born Nov. 14, 1961 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Billy Joe Powell and the late Elizabeth Christine Summerville Powell.
She was of the Baptist Faith and as a youth attended Seney Baptist Church. Angela retired from the Eby-Brown Company, loved to travel and had an avid love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Christine Evans.
Survivors included a son, Jonathan Evans of Weaver, Ala.; daughter, Elizabeth (Stacy) Burt of Weaver, AL; brother, Jeffery Powell of Rome; sister, Aletha Womack of Aragon; five grandchildren and a special cousin, Jerred Boatner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evans were held on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Chisolm and Brother Melton Moss officiating.
Interment services followed in the family lot of the Aragon Cemetery.

Mr. William E. McMillan (Bill), aged 86 years, passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1931, in Laurel, Miss., to Eva Brannan McMillan and Newton Jasper McMillan.
He joined the United States Air Force in 1949 at age 18 and proudly served his country for 21 years. Upon military retirement, he earned his Associate Degree in Accounting from Floyd Junior College and began working for Goodyear Aerospace in Rockmart, from which he also retired 24 years later.
Mr. McMillan was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
His children and grandchildren were his heart and joy.
Mr. McMillan will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Frances McMillan, son Doug McMillan (Jeannie), daughter Sherry McMillan Wiedman (Ray), grandchildren Ben McMillan, Jamie Wiedman Daniel (Kyle), Kelley Wiedman, Sarah Grace, Brendan Roberts and Dan Roberts.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Doris Evelyn Lightsey, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
Mr. McMillan is predeceased by his parents, brother Joseph McMillan, and sister Eva Frances Watkins.
His wonderful spirit was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Second Avenue Baptist Church, Rome, with Rev. Monty Stallins officiating.
Visitation with the family was held immediately following the service.
Burial with military honors was held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Dec. 18, 2017 at 1 p.m.
