The 29th annual Ayers-Beck Celebrity Golf Tournament got in between stormy weather on Friday at the Cherokee Golf and Country Club in Cedartown without a problem.

Winners of the tournament this year were the team made up of Tobin, Trey and Bucky Ayers, Edward Graves, Matt Bryneteson and Jimmy Carter.

The annual tournament is one of the main fundraisers for the Ayers-Beck Community Foundation, which provides annual grants to several organizations around Polk County, along with scholarships to graduating seniors at Cedartown and Rockmart High Schools.

During their annual luncheon in late March, funds were given out to 19 different organizations helping local youth, providing scholarships to graduating seniors and much more. The amounts from the 2018 tournament totaled around $33,000 between them to help the various programs. That was still one of the largest amounts donated in the tournament’s history.
