The 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Survivor’s Banquet is hosted by Open Hand Community Outreach, Inc. is being held on Oct. 29 at Cedar Lake Christian Center, 1890 Rome Highway, Cedartown starting at exactly 4 p.m.

Regardless of your identity, what you do, or where you live, the probability is that you have been affected personally by breast cancer. The statistics are clear and overwhelming, yet statistics mean little when confronted with the diagnosis of yourself or a friend or family member.

For the individuals who battle the fight against this cancer on a daily basis, the backing of family and friends is pretty much as vital as the treatment got –vital support that widens still the circle of people affected by this disease.

On the account of medical search and early discovery, the number of cancer survivors has expanded drastically over the previous decades. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, while there were 3 million survivors in 1971, the figure for 2007 was 11.7 million of individuals who are living with this disease. In spite of the fact that Breast Cancer Awareness is observed universally, most festivities are local festivities.

These are frequently supported by hospitals, cancer research facilities and other organizations focused on the cause.

Occasions held for this festival celebration include fundraisers, carnivals, speeches, concerts and art displays. Most events are intended for all ages.

To register as a survivor or purchase tickets, please visit by Oct. 21, 2016.
