New Stuxnet-like Malware targets industrial cntrol systems
Security researchers have discovered a sophisticated piece of malware named Iron Gate that uses tricks from the Stuxnet sabotage malware and is specifically designed to target industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems as used in many Power Plants. Remember our government spokes people bragged about our ability to do this. Now we probably are not able to use this again.
Researchers at the security firm FireEye Labs Advanced Reverse Engineering said on Thursday that the malware, dubbed “IRONGATE,” affects Siemens industrial control systems. Siemens has thousands of these systems controlling Power Plants and industrial facilities all over the world.
The research team doesn’t think that Irongate is written by the Stuxnet’s authors, as Irongate is not the type of sophistication one would expect from a nation state. But the question still remains: Who did write Irongate?

“Many users of Windows 7 and 8.1 are happy with their current version of Windows and have no wish to upgrade to Windows 10.”
“There are many reasons for this, but among them is the fact that Windows 10 has become quite controversial due to Microsoft’s evolution of their Windows OS platform into a service which, among other things, aggressively monitors and reports on its users’ activities.” Moreover, just a month ago, Microsoft was caught displaying unsolicited advertisements on its Windows 10 users’ desktops. These reasons are enough for many users to stay on their previous versions of the Windows operating system.

Once Unlocker sets files free, Eraser lets you, well, erase them. For folks who handle sensitive data or simply love the feel of tinfoil hats—hey, I’m one of you—Eraser’s ability to delete data securely and permanently will be welcome indeed.
What’s more, Eraser lets you choose how many times you’d like to overwrite a file. Looking for a simple, single pseudo-random data pass? Maybe a Department of Defense-approved, three-times-through-the-shredder, or the full-on, 35-pass Gutmann treatment? Eraser’s got you covered.
The fact that Eraser embeds itself in your right-click context menu and allows scheduled wiping of specific folders and files is just icing on the permanent-deletion cake. Again, though: Be careful where you point this thing. What’s erased can’t be un erased. http://eraser.heidi.ie/
