A Rockmart man out on his second bond for drug and firearm charges is back in jail with no chance of bond this time, according to police.

Jeffery Edward Hodges, 27, of 431 West Church St., Rock-mart, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol in a traffic stop on March 20, according to Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome.

Hodges is charged with window tint, used of an electronic device to make a drug sale, four counts of cocaine possession with intent to distribute, two counts of cocaine sales and two counts of cocaine possession. He remains in the Polk County Jail.

Newsome said the Polk County Drug Task Force has been investigating Hodges for seven months. Officers suspected he was involved in marijuana and cocaine distribution in the Rockmart and Hodges will be charged with more drug and firearm charges stemming from the investigation, Newsome said.

The judge denied bond in this case because Hodges was still on bond in two previous cases, Newsome said. Hodges still faces charges from two other cases involving drugs and weapons, Newsome said.

He had been out on bond from the original cases where he was found with five pounds of marijuana and a firearm. Newsome said Hodges bonded out of that case and was eventually arrested again on a another marijuana possession and firearm charge. Hodges was also wearing body armor as well, Newsome said.

Hodges was out on bond on that case as well when he was arrested for the third incident.
