The City of Aragon is celebrating Georgia Cities Week, and included in the week of events is a Photography contest. Photos are being accepted for the contest for any age, so long as it pertains to a City of Aragon theme and hasn’t been previously published. All photos must be 8x10 inches, and entries must include a name, address and contact number. All entries are due by April 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. at City Hall. Photos will be judged by staff and narrowed down to two entries, which will be picked by the Aragon City Council on April 20, when a winner will be announced.
The Polk County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for vendors for the 2017 Homespun Festival happening on July 21 and 22 in Rockmart. Costs vary for vendors, but those seeking to bring arts and crafts to Homespun are charged $115 for a vendor fee. The deadline to apply is April 30. The City of Aragon will be hosting a citywide cleanup between April 26 and April 29 for Georgia Cities Week.
