A residence on Lovvorn Road was destroyed by flames late this morning as Polk County firefighters responded to a full-on blaze that continues to smolder in the Cedartown area.
Polk County Public Safety Director Randy Lacey said that a trio of trailers that were put together along with a built-on addition was destroyed after firefighters were called out to put out the flames at 311 Lovvorn Road.
Lacey said that no injuries have been reported.
Firefighters are using caution on the scene and were winding down their operations around noon due to the heavy smoke from the fire and windy conditions.
Lacey said further investigation would be required to determine the cause of the fire.
