The Polk County Board of Education has announced that they'll be gathering for a special session on Saturday morning at the central office, and once opening their meeting will go into an executive session to discuss personnel matters.

Saturday's meeting is expected to start at 8 a.m., and after going through routine matters they'll go into a closed session, and aren't expected to take up any further business upon their return, according to the agenda online at the Board of Education's website.

The board is also expected to meet again for their community input and work session on Aug. 1, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the board meeting room at the Central Office on South College Street in Cedartown.
