Rockmart Police and Polk County Coroner Tony Brazier both confirmed the identity of a woman who was found dead in a tent behind a grocery store late in the week.
According to Police Chief Keith Sorrells and Brazier, Lisa Dawn Wisener, 47, of a Rockmart address, was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Crime lab over the weekend for a further examination.
"We'll be conducting a complete autopsy," Brazier said.
Brazier said that he pronounced Wisener dead at 4:40 p.m. after police were called to the scene on Thursday, June 15, in what he described as a makeshift tent-style shanty in the woods behind the Ingles Market in Rockmart at the intersection of Highway 101 and Nathan Dean Parkway.
He said his initial examination didn't reveal any signs of foul play, and that more information would be forthcoming following her autopsy.
