Letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

Will someone explain why this happens?

1. Case in point: The Aragon Center will only accept “limbs”, they will not accept other yards waste, such as bushes, hedge clippings, rose bushes, etc, etc., including “limbs” off privet trees. I took a small load of privet limbs to Aragon today, and was told I had to take them to Rockmart. The operator on duty identified them as “sassafras,” until I corrected him.

2. Van Wert, (Rockmart) will accept most all yard waste, including, hedge clippings, rose bushes, etc, etc., including “limbs” off privet trees.

3. The “kicker” is this ... the truck that picks up all yard waste from all the Centers takes it to the same truck to the same location. I know this for a fact, because the truck drivers told me, then I saw it happen.

Do you see something wrong with this policy?

Do you think you might need to revisit it?

Thanks,

Ken Suffridge, Aragon
