Keep Polk Beautiful

Keep Polk Beautiful is seeking volunteers to help come and take part in a clean-up event coming in two weeks to honor a local who helped get the Silver Comet Trail started.

The organization is holding an event next Saturday, March 24 to spruce up the area along the Silver Comet Trail in their latest beautification efforts being put together by Executive Director Randy Cook.

Come take part in the clean-up starting at 9 a.m. at the Cedartown Welcome Center and Depot or at Rockmart's Seaborn Jones Park for the two hour event.

The clean-up is being held in honor of Joe Anderson, who helped organize the efforts to build the trail.

Trash bags, gloves water and snacks will be provided to volunteers.
