Paul Craighead, pottery instructor, has returned to Rockmart after a trip to Italy to visit his family.

You are invited to welcome him home by attending his popular “Open Studio Pottery” class, located on the lower level of the City of Rockmart Cultural Arts Center.

The Open Studio Pottery class is open to all ages. The class meets every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The same class is also offered Thursday mornings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuition for the Tuesday and Wednesday classes is $15 per day; for the Thursday class it is $12. All supplies are included.

The classes are called “open studio” because artist and instructor Paul Craighead works with each participant on an individual basis to help make whatever they have in mind; whether it’s learning how to work on the wheel, or making a particular item through hand-building.

Classes are held year-round with the exception of holidays and summer art camps.

Once a person registers for a session, they are added to an email list and informed of any scheduling changes. Register the day you attend.

Paul offers a 10% discount if you buy a block of four classes. There is also a 10% discount if three or more people come together.
