Good food, great atmosphere and quality service are the ingredients of a dining experience that draws people to Benny’s Eatery, located at 642 Goodyear Avenue in Rockmart.

The restaurant is now open at the former location of Mildred’s, which still lingers in the minds of people who chose to eat there.

In honor of this tradition, Ayman Shaat and his partner Levent Lozuyaman decided to keep the vintage flooring in the building. The structure has been renovated and state of the art equipment placed in the area where Levent, a chef, prepares “more than just seafood”.

Once the new business opened, local marketing and the street grapevine spread the news around town of a good place to eat.

Shaat said he is pleased that people are finding the restaurant a place they wish to visit and return. “The people of Rockmart continue to extend a warm welcome,” he said.

This has proved true for the past several years since he also operates the local Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell sites.

“If you serve good food, provide a great atmosphere and quality service, you will succeed with hard work and dedication,” he added.

Customers visiting the restaurant find this to be true with staffed. They are shown a menu filled with a lengthy list of “off the grill” items.
