The Aragon City Council race is now back on with four candidates vying for three seats by the end of the single day of qualifying being re-opened ahead of the November election.
According to Elections Director Karen Garmon, Candace Seiz and Michelle Wilson both qualified for the upcoming municipal elections today after the single-day period was moved following the close of county offices for the day on Monday.
The two join Judson Fee and Amy Causey in the race for Aragon seats formerly held by former City Council members Kelsey Collum, Tammy Mulkey and one to be vacated at the end of the year held by Council member Hunter Spinks.
Qualifying was re-opened after Linda Hilburn dropped her candidacy for the upcoming election ahead of a challenge posed based on residency requirements.
The challenge was dropped with her departure from the race late last week.
Check back on Thursday for more on the two new candidates who have joined the Aragon council race.
