Victory Baptist Church took over Peek Park in Cedartown over the weekend on Saturday to help local students get ready to head back to school and spread the good word.

The church held their annual Christmas in July event to ensure that local youth in need went back to school with all the supplies they might need for those first days of school, and also looking fashionable with haircuts and more.

According to figures from church members participating in the day, 150 families with over 500 people took part in the day, which saw 350 backpacks and additional supplies given out, totaling 75 bags of supplies and 120 bags of groceries.

They also gave 120 haircuts and 100 bags of clothes for the day.
