• Between Jan. 10 and Feb. 6, a motor vehicle theft occurred in the 200 block of Meadowlark Drive in Ringgold, in which a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer was taken.

The victim told police she parked the vehicle at the location on Meadowlark Drive in November 2011 due to it not running correctly.

She added that she cancelled the insurance on the vehicle and last saw it at the location on Jan. 10.

The victim checked with the title pawn company regarding the loan she has on the vehicle, and the company told her they had not repossessed the vehicle.

She told police the vehicle has an estimated value of $3,500.

The case has been turned over to detective Alan Miles.

• Between 6 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 8, a theft occurred from A&L Trucking at 11967 U.S. 41 in Tunnel Hill, in which four truck batteries were stolen.

The victim told police someone stole four truck batteries from his tractor-trailer.

The victim described the batteries as nearly brand new, having just purchased them the previous week.

The batteries are valued at $200 each.

The case has been turned over to detective Michael Tinker.
