2 fatalities result from 2-vehicle collision

Two people were killed and two others were seriously injured, in a head-on collision on U.S. 411 early Tuesday afternoon Feb. 4. The wreck occurred near the intersection of Cherokee County Road 113, approximately eight miles from Centre around 12:20 p.m.

Drivers, according to the Alabama State Trooper report, were identified as Terry LeCroy, 48, of Centre who was driving a 2002 Ford and Lisa Mackey, 49, of Sand Rock, who was driving a 2013 Chevrolet.

LeCroy was pronounced dead at the scene. Mackey was taken by ambulance to Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome. and later transferred to Erlanger where she is listed in critical condition, according to reports.

Teresa Ann Hicks, 50, of Adairsville, a passenger in the Mustang, was fatally injured. Carrie LeCroy, 17, another passenger in the Mustang, was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the wreck.
