The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday, July 5, arrested five individuals for drug offenses in separate incidents.

According to a press release from Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Bobbie F. Underwood, 43, of Centre and Jason Mallet, 39, of Sand Rock were both arrested and charged in unrelated cases for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested Wednesday were William T. Smith, 27, of Piedmont, James D. Malin, 34, and Toni M. Cothran, 33, both of Dallas, Georgia, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the press release.

All five were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, Shaver said.
