Mr. James Dwight Parker, 63, of Piedmont passed away Thurs., June 29, 2017 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Parker, 63, of Piedmont were held Sat., July 1, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home with Brother David Weaver and Derek Parker officiating. Burial followed at Piedmont Memory Gardens. Thompson Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Parker of Piedmont; daughter, Danielle McIntyre (Daniel) of Jacksonville; son, Derek Parker (Candi) of Piedmont; three grandchildren; 5 chosen grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Parker and Ricky Parker both of Piedmont; one sister, Violet Hairrell (Danny) of Piedmont; his mother-in-law, Betty Kelley of Ellisville; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mr. Parker was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont. He was employed at Garcy Corporation for 30+ years, was a member of Real Truth Ministry and loved antique cars and car shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ruth Parker and his father-in-law, Herman Kelley.
