An employee of CVG Alabama of Piedmont was honored recently for supporting The National Guard and Reserve.
The U.S. Department of Defense “Patriotic Employer Award” is given to employers and managers who provide exceptional support to their families in the military. This award can only be given if nominated by an employee who is serving in the military.
Debra Mansell, the production manager at CVG Alabama, a resident of Cherokee County, Ala., received an award Friday, Dec. 7, at a town hall meeting with all Piedmont employees.
Mansell was nominated by an anonymous employee who is currently serving in The National Guard on a Fatality Search and Recovery Team.
“I go above and beyond as well as they do to secure the freedom of the United States of America and for that I truly appreciate their support,” said the service member.
The Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserved presented Mansell with a certificate as a “Patriotic Employer” for “contributing to National Security and Protecting Liberty and Freedom By Supporting Employee Participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.”
CVG Alabama is proud to support our service men and women and Mansell stated she was honored and humbled to receive this award.
