After avenging an early-season loss to Chattanooga Valley on Tuesday, the redemption tour continued for the Gordon Lee Lady Trojans in Rock Spring on Thursday as they held off the Saddle Ridge Lady Mustangs to claim a 27-25 victory.

After giving up a half-a-hundred in a 50-21 loss to Saddle Ridge last month in Chickamauga, Gordon Lee got out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter, but held a slim 15-13 advantage at intermission.

The Lady Trojans limited the Lady Mustangs to just two points in the third, pushing their lead out to six. However, they had to fend off a final rally by the home team to pull out the win.

Emma Minghini scored seven of her 12 points in the first quarter for Gordon Lee. Emoree Rogers had five points, followed by Addison Sturdivant with four, Emma Langston with three, Marianne Beliveau with two and Ashlyn Schmidt with one as they snapped Saddle Ridge's six-game winning streak.

LaTyah Barber led all scorers with 14 points for Saddle Ridge, nine coming in the final period. She also added eight steals, six rebounds and a block. Mykeria Johnson added seven points, seven rebounds and a steal, while Ashlyn Jenkins and Sam Cramer had two points each.

Jake Poindexter had 17 points and five rebounds for the winners. Brody Cobb finished with seven points and five boards, while Henry Ellis scored six points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Chris Bell was 5-of-10 from the free throw line and had 17 points for Saddle Ridge. Ethan Kruger had three points, followed by Gabe Kirkendoll with two and Anthony Collins and Brady Mullaly, who had one point apiece.
