Crime Stoppers: Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office

· Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, a vehicle theft occurred in the 100 block of Ed Winters Lane in Ringgold.

The victim told police that a white male came onto the property and drove off in a white 1994 Chevrolet Astro van.

The van is estimated to be worth $1,500.

The vehicle is described as having a shadow on the sides where Pepsi logos used to be.

The vehicle was entered into the Georgia Crime Information Center database and the case was turned over to detective Jason Sullivan.

· Between 1:39 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, a burglary occurred at a gas station in the 1800 block of Mack Smith Road in Rossville.

Deputies responded to the Mega Star gas station in regards to the store’s burglary alarm going off.

Upon arrival, deputies found the glass of the front left door broken out.

Several cartons of cigarettes were found on the floor behind the counter in addition to a box fan that was turned over.

After contacting the store owner and the on call detective, it was determined that all that was missing during the incident was an undetermined amount of cigarettes.

The case has been turned over to detective Alan Miles.

According to Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston, on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, deputy sheriffs received a report of an alleged sexual assault involving two assailants against a female under the age of eighteen. Sheriff’s detectives initiated an investigation into the matter that same day.  They conducted a number of interviews with witnesses as well as obtained certain physical evidence. The alleged assault is believed to have taken place on Feb. 4/5 at a third party residence near Calhoun.
