Chickamauga man pleads not guilty to murdering grandmother

A Chickamauga man accused of killing his grandmother in March pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

During arraignment in Walker Superior Court, 30-year-old Joshua Michael Fowler entered a “not guilty” plea.

Fowler has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery for the March 29 beating death of his 75-year-old grandmother, Joyce Ann Fowler of Chickamauga.

After Tuesday’s arraignment, Joshua Fowler returned to his cell at the Walker County jail. His trial is set for November.
