Katie Anderson and Kristopher Marks were wed May 30, 2009 at noon at the Sleeping Bear Resort in Lake Ann, Mich., with Rev. Charles Towersey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sandra Brosier of Lake Ann, Mich. She was given away by her three sons by her late husband, Sgt. Mickey Anderson — James, 7, Micah, 5, and Owen, almost 4.

The bride wore a champagne jacket dress and carried a bouquet of tulips.

The groom is the son of Charles and Gail Marks of LaFayette.

The wedding took place on a covered bridge decorated with green, cream and various color bouquets of tulips in vases. The music was provided by the bride’s cousin, sister and brother-in-law. The vocalists were Lisa Kutrieb, and Cliff and Kelli Reppart.

The wedding license was witnessed and signed by the groom’s sister, Erin Marks of Rome, and the bride’s sister, Kelli Reppart of Benton Harbor, Mich.

The reception was held at the Sleeping Bear Resort in Lake Ann, Mich., and was hosted by the bride and groom. The bride’s cake was a white cake with buttercream frosting decorated with multi-colored flowers and green trim. It was a casual event with many family around, and as always there were always plenty of people to visit with and chil-dren to be entertainment.

The couple will reside in LaFayette after their wedding trip to Mackinaw City and Island, Mich.

There will be a second reception held in LaFayette on June 20.
