The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Roper Corp., a division of GE, fill about 150 manufacturing jobs for its facility in LaFayette.

The recruitment will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort Oglethorpe Municipal Complex, 500 City Hall Drive.

The company, which manufactures kitchen stoves and microwaves, will be recruiting full-time assembly-line workers.

Preferred applicants are those who have a stable work history, at least one year of manufacturing experience, or be a military veteran with at least one year of service.

Salaries start at $12.30 an hour.

The company will conduct a background check and a drug-screening test.
