The Catoosa County Sheriff's Department is investigating a theft by taking case that occurred along Battlefield Parkway, in which someone stole decorative property from outside a business.

Officials say the incident occurred sometime between the night of Feb. 22 and the early morning hours of Feb. 23 at Universal Collision located at 5407 Battlefield Parkway.

The business owner told deputies that two Global brand industrial-sized ashtrays and two painted concrete bulldogs were stolen from outside the front of the shop, reports show.

The total estimated value of the missing property is $700.

Extra patrol was placed in the neighborhood following the incident.
