The LaFayette Police Department says someone vandalized three store fronts in the 1300 block of North Main Street.

According to police reports, on Friday morning, July 21, Dr. Aaron Ford told police someone busted out the large window to the front of his business, Ford Chiropractic.

When Ford discovered the damage, he thought it was an accident until he discovered the neighboring business, Lisa's Steele Magnolia Shoppe, also received damage as its front window was shattered as well.

Police did not find any objects in the vicinity of the windows that could explain the damage.

Both businesses are located in the 1300 block of North Main Street and sit off from the roadway, so it is unlikely a vehicle flung a rock at the windows, police said.

On Thursday, June 8, around 4 p.m., police responded to Lost and Found Baggage, also located in the 1300 block of North Main Street, where the owner reported three separate occasions — since April — where he has noticed small holes in his glass windows. The first hole was noticed in April, then again on June 1 and again on June 8.

The Lost and Found Baggage owner said after he heard a loud noise, prior to finding the third hole in the window on the day of the report, he believes someone is used a BB gun and shot at his store front window.

Anyone with information on these criminal damages to business property are asked to contact the LaFayette Police Department at 706-639-1540.
