Catoosa County detectives say a utility trailer and several other items were recently stolen from a popular store along U.S. Highway 41 in Ringgold.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to a theft call on Oct. 21 at the Stuff 4 Less store located at 9534 U.S. 41.

The victim told police that sometime between 7 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 21, a 6x12-foot utility trailer was stolen from the property.

The victim stated that there was no VIN number on the trailer when it was stolen.

"He stated that he doesn't put the VIN number on the trailer," Deputy James Rogers said. "He said he waits until trailers are sold, and then lets the customer put the VIN number on the trailer."

In addition to the trailer, a six-foot-long porch swing and two whiskey barrels were also taken during the incident.

Since the theft occurred, extra patrol has been placed in the area of the store.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department at 706-935-2424.
