Catoosa County sheriff's detectives are investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Elm Tree Road in the Graysville community sometime around Jan. 22.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to Elm Tree Drive a little after 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 after the family realized their shed had been broken into.

The resident's son discovered that screws had been removed from the lock on the door, reports show.

Deputies say multiple tools were taken from the shed during the theft.

"The victim stated that several items were missing from the shed including a wood sander, two saws, and two drill presses," Deputy Justin Ruth said.

The resident admitted that the family hadn't been in the shed in a while, so they were unable to pinpoint the exact day the theft occurred.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the missing property is encouraged to contact the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department at 706-935-2424.
