Despite having only nine wrestlers available, the Ridgeland Panthers still managed to go 2-3 at Tuesday's West Forsyth Duals.

Ridgeland picked up wins over Berkmar (43-42) and St. Francis (42-15), while losing to Lassiter (51-27), Kell (42-36) and South Forsyth (40-27). The loss to Kell was on criteria.

Garrett Romans (106 pounds) and Evan Burnette (160) were both 5-0 on the day, while Preston Perrault (113), Chris Prescott (126) and Ryan McGill (182/195) were all 4-1. Kyle Brown (182/195) was 3-1.

The Panthers will join LaFayette and Heritage for an all-Region 6-AAAA quad-match next Thursday before wrestling in a tournament at Jackson County next weekend.

LaFayette sixth at Hillgrove

The Ramblers finished sixth overall in a dual tournament at Hillgrove High School on Tuesday.

The Orange-and-Black finished second in their pool with wins over Dade County and Whitewater. Their only pool loss was to Alexander. They defeated Cook in a crossover match, but lost to Newnan in their final match of the day.

Scores were not available as of press time.

LFO wins Bronze bracket in Etowah

The Warriors were without four varsity wrestlers, but still won the Bronze bracket at the Etowah Duals on Tuesday.

LFO lost to Lumpkin County (46-17) and Sequoyah (48-30), but bounced back with victories over Woodstock (51-24), Harrison (43-42) and Cherokee (36-33).

The Red-and-White will wrestle this Saturday at the Vandergriff Duals in Hixson.
