Oakwood Christian Eagles

The Oakwood Christian Lady Eagles are now 8-5 on the season, following their most recent pair of wins.

On Monday, the Navy-and-Gold went on the road and swept Tennessee Christian Prep by scores of 25-16, 25-23 and 25-17.

Lexie Asher had six kills to lead the OCA offense. Annika Green had four kills and three blocks, while Mary Ownby added three kills.

Lily Green had two kills, two blocks and two digs. Raleigh Suits picked up four digs to go with one kill, while Olivia Guest and Amelia Michael had one kill apiece.

On Tuesday, back at home in Chickamauga, OCA handled Shenandoah Baptist Academy, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20.

Asher had five more kills, plus a dig, while Annika Green had six kills, five blocks and two digs. Guest finished with two kills and Suits recorded four digs.

Green blocked two shots and added a dig and a kill. Ownby had two digs, while Bankston picked up a kill. Michael scored six straight service points in the second set.

The Lady Eagles will play at Shenandoah on Friday and they will resume play after fall break with Senior Night on Oct. 10 against TCPS at 6:30 p.m. The Southern Christian Athletic Association tournament will take place on Oct. 12.
