LFO Warriors

LFO split a pair of home matches on Tuesday as they celebrated Senior Night in Fort Oglethorpe.

The Red-and-White opened with a 25-14, 25-15 win over Gilmer as Macey Gregg had eight kills, three aces, 11 serve receives and a pair of assists. Alesya McBurnett picked up five kills, seven serve receives, two assists and a dig, while Madi Graham was on the receiving end of eight serves. She also had seven assists, two aces and a kill.

Also contributing in the win was Savanna Cardwell (5 aces, 6 serve receives), Gracen Hobbs (3 kills, 6 serve receives, 2 assists, 1 dig) and Miyah Foster (2 aces, 2 kills, 5 serve receives, 5 assists).

LFO ended the night with a 25-14, 25-22 loss to Darlington.

Gregg had a team-high 10 kills and 23 serve receives to go with four blocks, three assists and an ace. Foster recorded seven assists, five serve receives, three kills and an ace. Graham had four serve receives, five assists and 1 dig, while Symerel Bennett added three kills, five serve receives, two blocks and one dig.

The Lady Warriors (11-29) will be the No. 3 seed in the Area 6-AAA tournament. They will take on No. 2 seed Coahulla Creek in their first match at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The tournament will be held at North Murray High School in Chatsworth.
