The Ringgold girls took fourth place in a tight battle for first place in a five-team meet at Calhoun on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers won five events, but finished with just 67.5 points to end up behind Calhoun (87.5), Coahulla Creek (75) and Gordon Central (72). Model (25) rounded out the field.
Winners included Sadie Lane in the 100 (13.61), Jersey McCann in the 400 (1:06.68), Annabelle Duckett in the 100 hurdles (16.92), the 4x100 "A" relay team (54.03) and the 4x400 "A" relay team (4:45).
Top three finishes were turned in by Briuanna Donley in the 200 (30.14), Duckett in the high jump (4-10) and Zoey Butler in the long jump (14-4 1/2). Butler also placed third in the 400 (1:07.50).
Ringgold's boys were third with 38 points, finishing ahead of Coahulla Creek (27.5) and Model (25), but well behind winner Calhoun (126.5) and runner-up Gordon Central (117).
Gabriel Elmore had the lone win for the Tigers, crossing the line in 16.03 to win the 110 hurdles. Jared Dunn (16.53) was second in the same event.
Dunn also placed third in the 300 hurdles (44.84) and the high jump (5-6). Bryton McCann was third in the 400 (53.67), while the Tigers' 4x100 "A" was also third (45.60).
Ringgold will return to Calhoun on Saturday for the Mohawk Invitational at Gordon Central High School.
