LaFayette High School's tennis teams opened the 2018 season with a pair of 4-1 road victories at LFO on Thursday.
The Ramblers got singles victories from No. 1 player Jarrod Sitton and No. 2 player Isaiah Southern. Sitton defeated Robert Billegas, 8-4, while Southern handled McGuire Shaw, 8-4.
The lone win for the Warriors came at No. 3 singles where Daniel Kellman beat Jac Curole, 8-2.
The Ramblers would sweep the doubles matches. The No. 1 team of Andrew Long and Jonah Hobbs blanked James Dandridge and Austin Christian, 8-0. Damian Brown and Tyler Massengill polished things off with an 8-3 win over Gage Vaughn and Aiden Murphy.
On the girls' side, Micaela Hobbs defeated Autumn Christian at No. 1 singles, 8-5, while Megan Torbett beat Angela Bono at No. 3 singles, 8-2. The lone win for the Lady Warriors was turned in by No. 2 player Angie Lee, who defeated Macy Brewer, 8-5.
In varsity doubles action, S.J. Oxford and Aubrey Steadman defeated Grace Turner and Abby Garner, 8-2, while the team of Lauren Torbett and Emma Richardson beat Holley Petty and Lexie Smith, 8-0.
LaFayette will host Chattooga Wednesday at 4 p.m., while LFO will head to Sonoraville on Tuesday for 4 p.m. match.
