Rossville Middle School's varsity basketball team found the road unkind on Thursday as they ended their pre-Christmas schedule with a pair of losses at Ringgold.
In the girls' game, the Lady Bulldogs, who trailed 21-17 at halftime, were outscored 15-0 in the third quarter as Ringgold pulled away for a 48-27 win.
Kelci Sparks paced Rossville (2-6) with 13 points while adding five rebounds, two steals, and a block. She was also 3-of-5 from the free-throw line. Macey Gregg and Jennifer Coates had four points each. Jessica Coates, Makaila Buchanan, and Makenzie Howard each had two points, and Johnna Silmon pulled down six rebounds.
In the nightcap, the Bulldogs slipped to 3-5 overall with a 50-38 loss to the Tigers.
Christian Battle had 16 points in the loss, while Shawn Wilson and Chad Eaton each pulled down nine rebounds.
Rossville will not take the floor again until a Jan. 9 home date with Saddle Ridge. It will be the first of six straight home dates for the Blue-and-White in January.
The North Georgia Athletic Conference tournament will be hosted by Chattanooga Valley on Feb. 3-7.
