Another balanced scoring effort send the LaFayette Middle School Ramblers to a 49-25 victory at Trion on Monday night, improving their league record to 6-1.
Jaylon Ramsey dropped in 14 points and added four assists, three rebounds and three steals for LaFayette, followed by Jalen Suttle's 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and one block. Cam Porter had eight points, four rebounds, four blocks, three steals and two assists, while Junior Barber finished with seven points and three boards.
Aidan Hadaway filled his stat sheet with three points, four rebounds, five assists, four steals and a block. Ben Maanum had three points, two rebounds, one steal and one block. Lennard Pullom collected three steals to go with his two points and Lucas Dierking finished with two points and four boards.
Also contributing for the Ramblers were Cade Fisher (2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block) and JaMario Clements (3 rebounds, 1 assist).
LaFayette's boys will travel to Chattanooga today to face McCallie.
Trion girls 32, LaFayette 17
The Lady Ramblers fell to 1-6 overall with a loss to the Lady Bulldogs. Aubrey Blankenship had five points to pace LaFayette, while Savanna Hall, Heather Tucker and Miccaylah Thompson added four apiece.
Both LaFayette varsity teams will host Gordon Lee on Thursday.
Saddle Ridge JV girls 24, Rossville 4
In Rossville, the Lady Mustangs jumped out to a 12-0 lead at halftime en route to the win.
Lexi Baker had a team-high 10 points for Saddle Ridge to go with four rebounds and two steals. Haynie Jane Gilstrap added six points and a pair of steals. Madison Sisemore finished with four points and two boards, while Sarah Pendley and Ashlynn McConathy dropped in two points each.
Rossville JV boys 27, Saddle Ridge 19
Braeden Holland had six points for the Mustangs and went 4 of 6 at the free throw line. Teddy Ownby had three points on a late 3-pointer, while Nick Green, Jonathan Edge, Cole Spears and Christian Howard all scored two.
Individual scoring for both Rossville JV teams was nor provided as of press time.
Dade County JV girls 24, Gordon Lee 12
Allie Farrow had six points for the Lady Trojans, followed by Kayleigh Ellis with four and Riley Shirley with two.
Ali Thompson had nine points for the Lady Wolverines.
