The Heritage Generals will carry the banner for Catoosa County in the North Georgia Athletic Conference softball tournament semifinals.
The Navy-and-Red broke up a 1-1 tie with solo runs in the top of the sixth and seventh innings and punched their ticket to the semifinals with a 3-1 victory at Dade County on Wednesday.
Gracie Dawson drove in two runs for Heritage, one on a hit and the other on a sacrifice, while Riley Kokinda went 2-for-4 at the plate. Brinkley Horner collected the win the circle.
Dade County's lone came in the bottom of the first inning.
Sixth-seeded Heritage will head to second-seeded Trion on Thursday for a 5 p.m. game against the Lady Bulldogs. The winner will meet up either top-seeded Gordon Lee or fourth-seeded Chattanooga Valley in the tournament championship series, which starts on Friday.
