Chattanooga Valley Eagles

The Chattanooga Valley Lady Eagles finally took to the pitch for their first match of the season Thursday night in Flintstone and fans were rewarded for their wait with a 5-0 shutout of Trion.

Sydney Coats put up a hat trick in her season debut, while Ria Cox scored twice and provided multiple assists. Katieanne Thompson and Ragan Wimpee had shots on goal for the Lady Eagles, while head coach Patton Hunt praised the defensive efforts of Katie Gregory and Emma Coats.

Chattanooga Valley boys 4, Trion 2

The Eagles got their first victory of 2018 in the nightcap.

Isiah Casto booted home two goals in the win, while Liam Kenney and Carson Middleton each had one. Head coach Derek Hilley acknowledged team captain Sam Dickson, along with Brennan Thompson, for their leadership and Camden Bain's efforts on defense.

LaFayette boys 10, Rossville 1

The LaFayette Middle School boys' soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season after a win at Rossville on Thursday.

Haidon Pickard and Daniel Lopez each had hat trick, while Caden Hinton scored twice in the win. Jacob Brown and Hayden Rainwater each had one goal.

Evan Ferguson scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs (0-2).

LaFayette girls 2, Rossville 0

The Lady Ramblers picked up their first win on Thursday as they got two goals from Shelley Warren to move to 1-0-2 on the year.

Alli Peterson and Jenna Baker were defensive standouts for LaFayette.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 0-2 on the season.
