The Lakeview Lady Warriors traded goals with Chattanooga Valley in an NGAC match last Monday and came away with a narrow 3-2 victory.
Emma Lverrett, Astrid Cantrell and Anesa Merdzo all found the net for the Lady Warriors, while Piper Piatt led the defensive effort for the home team to aid Lakeview keeper Chloe Reile.
Ragan Wimpee scored both goals for the Lady Eagles, while Taylor Blevins had a solid afternoon in goal to keep her team in the match.
In the boys' match, Lakeview coasted to a 7-1 victory, showing off outstanding ball control and unselfish passing.
Cooper Kirk netted the hat trick and picked up two assists, while Bryson Sullivan scored twice. Jalen Glover had one goal and dished out two assists, while team captain Stiven Galicia had one goal before injuring an ankle and missing part of the second half.
The final goal was tacked on by utility player McKenzy Kimball, a normal defender who also has spent time at keeper this season. He drew a foul in the box and knocked home the resulting penalty kick. Alex Marroquin and Xander Beddington led the defensive charge.
Individual scoring for the Eagles had not been provided as of press time.
