The Chattanooga Valley Lady Eagles got four goals and a pair of assists from Ria Cox in a 6-0 shutout win over Saddle Ridge Monday afternoon in Rock Spring.
Sydney Coats and Khloe Banksten also found the back of the net for the Lady Eagles (2-0). Coats also picked up an assist, as did Katieanne Thompson.
Emma Coats was a defensive standout for CVMS as she helped keeper Taylor Blevins preserve the shutout.
The Lady Mustangs dropped to 1-2 overall with the loss.

In the nightcap, the Mustangs battled through wet field conditions, cold temperatures, bitter winds and a 3-0 first-half deficit to forge a tie with the Eagles.
Kevin Kremb scored on a penalty kick as part of a hat trick for Saddle Ridge, who moved to 1-1-1 on the season. Kremb scored twice in the first half before getting his third and final goal early in the second half. Keeper Lake Johnson and the Mustangs defense would shut out the Eagles in the second half to spur the rally.
Sam Dickson, Isiah Casto and Davis Tucker all scored goals for CVMS (1-0-1), while Liam Kenney and Lyndon Tucker earned praise for their efforts.
Chattanooga Valley will host Dade County in a pair of matches on Thursday, while Saddle Ridge will remain at home to face LaFayette.
Dade County sweeps Rossville
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-3 with a 2-0 loss to Dade County in Trenton. The Lady Wolverines scored twice in the first half, though Rossville keeper Ivey Stargel made several outstanding saves in the second half to keep her team in the match.
In the nightcap, Rossville (0-3) dropped a 3-1 decision with Evan Ferguson scoring the only goal for the Bulldogs.
Rossville will travel to Trion on Thursday.
