The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans staved off a Heritage rally in the fourth quarter and claimed a narrow 36-33 victory on Tuesday.
Macy Sharp had 13 points and Emma McGraw added 12 for Gordon Lee (2-1).
Katherine Thompson and Colby Murray had seven points apiece for Heritage (2-1), followed by Lauren Mock with six. Sarah Matherly and Kortney McKenzie added five points each.
Heritage boys 34, Gordon Lee 18
The Generals (2-1) led 22-12 at halftime and won in a rematch of last year's NGAC title game.
Marcus Fortson had nine points and five steals for Heritage, while Kaden Swope had nine points, four rebounds and three assists. Bryce Travillian added seven points, seven rebounds and two steals. Collin Swearingin picked up six points and three steals.
Also contributing for Heritage was Ryan Heet (3 points) and Ty Loveless (3 rebounds, 3 steals).
Brodie Genter had 10 points for Gordon Lee (0-3), followed by Curtis Wells with four. Holt Roberts and Garren Ramey each added two points.
Saddle Ridge girls 61, Rossville 6
The Saddle Ridge Lady Mustangs scored 25 points in the opening quarter on Tuesday and went on to the win in Rossville.
Samantha Cramer and Mykeria Johnson led Saddle Ridge (3-1) with nine points each, followed by Madison Sisemore and Haynie Gilstrap with eight points each. FanTasja Barber added seven points. Lexi Baker had six points and nine rebounds. Carly Spurlock, Haven Yancy and Vianca Segerra each had four points and combined for 12 rebounds. Sara Pendley added two points and Summer Burkett grabbed four boards.
Individual scoring for Rossville (0-3) had not been provided as of press time.
Rossville boys 49, Saddle Ridge 20
Zack Harrison had 16 points for the Bulldogs, who improved to 2-1 overall. Chris Maddeaux added seven points, while Zion Irvin dropped in six.
Nick Green paced the Mustangs (0-4) with eight points. Braeden Holland and Teddy Ownby had five points each, followed by Brady Mullaly with two.
Lakeview boys 37, Trion 15
In a non-league game, the Warriors moved to 3-0 with a home victory over the Bulldogs. Cooper Kirk led the way with eight points, followed by Amari Burnett with seven and Will Carroll with six.
