The resurgent Rossville Bulldogs made a statement on Tuesday night by picking up an impressive 59-42 victory over highly regarded Dade County in Trenton.
Rossville took a 16-7 lead after the first quarter and extended the advantage to 29-17 by halftime. The Wolverines with cut the gap down to three points by the start of the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs would outscore their hosts in the final period, 20-6, to pick up the win.
The Bulldogs (8-6) put four players in double figures, led by 17 points from Mike Carpenter. Zack Harrison and Chris Maddeaux each had 12 points, while Zion Irvin tossed in a season-high 11.
Chase Watkins and Alex Renner had five and two points, respectively. Both players also had excellent nights on the boards, according to head coach Craig Leonard.
