Heritage Generals

The Heritage Generals picked up a 45-31 win at Ringgold in their final tune-up before the NGAC tournament, which begins on Saturday.

Heritage (14-5 overall, 11-2 NGAC) led 9-3 after one quarter, but increased its lead to 23-11 by halftime.

Kaden Swope had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Marcus Fortson added 11 points and three steals. Collin Swearingin finished with 10 points. Marcus Hagler had seven points and three boards. Bryce Travillian scored six points and grabbed four rebounds, while Jacob Lozano chipped in with three rebounds.

In the girls' game, Baileigh Pitts had a season-high 26 points as Ringgold went to 16-2 overall and 14-0 in the NGAC with a 49-40 win over Heritage. Drew Burke finished with eight points, while Sydney Cantrell chipped in with seven.

Ringgold will be a No. 1 seed in this week’s NGAC tournament in Trion.
