The Chattanooga Valley Lady Eagles collected their first win of the season, 33-28, at home against Lakeview on Tuesday.
CVMS (1-3) trailed 12-11 at halftime, but dominated in the third quarter as they outscored the Lady Warriors, 14-0, to take a 13-point lead.
Rachel Lopez would help bring Lakeview back as she scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the final seven minutes. However, her efforts would not be enough as the Maroon-and-White claimed the win.
Annabel Hill led the Lady Eagles with 15 points, followed by Dasia Watkins with nine and Madison Bowman with four. Jenna Morgan and Asia Silmon had three and two points, respectively, while Morgan, Silmon and Watkins were cited for their defensive performances.
Christina Collins had six points for the Lady Warriors, while Taliyah Holland and Gracie Cochran each finished with two.
Lakeview 41, Chattanooga Valley 32
In the boys' game, the Warriors (4-1) used a 15-0 run in the second quarter to break open what a been a tight game in the opening seven minutes. The Eagles (2-2) would slice the gap down to seven late in the fourth quarter, but got no closer.
Amari Burnett had 13 points for the Red-and-White, while Kennan Walker dropped in seven.
Kyan Clark had 11 points to pace Chattanooga Valley, followed by Amarreon Turner with seven and Logan Montgomery with six.
