Gordon Lee senior Mason Sims added to his fly fishing trophy collection at the recent World Youth Fly Fishing Championships in Vail, Colorado.
Sims won his third straight gold medal as part of and Team USA and he was the individual silver medalist behind teammate Hunter Hoffler of Moreland, Georgia.
Sims took first in Session 5 Sector V on Dillon Lake and took first in Session 6 Sector I on the Upper Eagle River, while he finished second in Session 1 Sector II on the Lower Eagle River.
Poland was the team silver medalist with the Czech Republic taking home the bronze.
Hoffler and Sims were sixth and seventh overall in last year's World Championships in Poland and were the highest-finishing Americans at fourth and fifth overall, respectively. This year, Americans locked down five of the top 12 spots in the individual standings.
