After coming up just three points short in a heartbreaking overtime loss on Monday, the Georgia Northwestern Lady Bobcats were involved in another close game on Thursday, this time in Marion, Alabama.
This time, however, the Navy-and-Silver found a way to get it done.
Georgia Northwestern got huge nights from freshman guard Tori Harvey and sophomore center Madison Lewis in a 60-56 victory over Judson College that snapped what had been a four-game losing streak.
Harvey, who had a career-high 32 points in Monday night's 58-55 loss to the Bryan College junior varsity squad, added 23 points to lead the Lady Bobcats, while adding 18 rebounds and four assists.
Meanwhile, Lewis owned the paint with one of her top performances of the year, an 18-point, 17-rebound double-double.
Freshman Christina DeSalvo had another solid game with nine points and six boards, while Taylor Bethune and Mia Clark each contributed five points and five rebounds. Clark also dished out four assists.
Georgia Northwestern (8-5) will be back at the Rossville Athletic Center at 3 p.m. on Saturday to face off with Toccoa Falls College. That game will be preceded by the Bobcats' game with Emory-Oxford College.
It will be Rec League Night at the R.A.C.
