The LFO Lady Warriors opened the 2017-18 season with a dominant defensive performance against Lookout Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
LFO held the Lady Jackets to just 16 percent shooting from the floor for the game (7-of-44) and outscored them 21-0 in the third quarter, before coasting to a 57-25 victory on the first day of the Chattanooga Christian Invitational at CCS.
The Lady Warriors also held a distinct 48-29 advantage on the glass against the overmatched Lady Jackets.
Macey Gregg had a game-high 16 points to go with six rebounds, five steals and three assists. Newcomer Milijah Williams dropped in 14, while Gracen Hobbs made a triumphant return to the court after last year’s injury by scoring 13 points and grabbing six boards.
LFO (1-0) will take a two-day Thanksgiving break before resuming the tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. against Polk County, Tenn.
