Gordon Lee High School is in the market for a new boys' head basketball coach.

Alex Disbrow, who spent the past three seasons guiding the Trojans, has been hired to take over the program at Adairsville High School.

Disbrow was hired in May of 2014 to replace longtime head coach Ed Clendenen in Chickamauga.

"We had a great group of players, who played extremely hard in some tough regions, both in Class A and Class AA," he said. "They always competed and I'll always be grateful for that."

Gordon Lee is losing just two seniors from this year's squad.

"I think the team will be even more competitive next year," he said of Gordon Lee. "There is a large senior group coming back, most of whom got a lot of playing time this past season. I think the kids will be bigger, faster and stronger and that's what makes it hard to leave. I put three years in, but I think the seeds are just now ready to be sowed."

"We are thankful for the hard work and effort Coach Disbrow put into our program and we wish him nothing but the best," Gordon Lee athletic director Michael Langston said. "The job has been posted and we will begin the search for a replacement."
