Sonoraville High School turned out to be a not-so-hospitable stop for Ringgold High School's basketball teams on Friday as both teams dropped Region 6-AAA games.
In the girls' game, Ringgold fell behind 12-4 after the first quarter and they were outscored 17-8 in the fourth as they dropped a 59-44 decision. Rachel Akers had 13 points in the loss as the Lady Tigers dropped to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in region play.
Riley Nayadley had seven points. Kaylee Womack and Sarah Headrick had six points each with Headrick also delivering seven rebounds. Sydney Pittman had five points and six assists.
The Tigers suffered their first loss of the season with a 63-46 setback to the Phoenix. Ringgold is now 7-1 overall and 3-1 in region play.
