Ringgold's Lady Tigers bounced back from Friday night's tough road loss at LFO with an important 49-36 victory over Murray County in Chatsworth.
Ringgold (10-12, 4-7) held a narrow 22-21 lead at halftime, but held the Lady Indians to just five points in the third quarter before adding 19 points of their own in the fourth to pull away.
Sydney Pittman had 17 points and recorded five steals. Rachel Akers controlled the paint with 13 points and nine rebounds. Kaylee Womack and Lauren Terrell had seven points apiece, followed by Shelby Cole with three and Riley Nayadley with two.
In the boys' game, the Tigers made sure there would be no drama as they dominated from start to finish in a 51-29 smothering of the Indians.
Logan Hullender, one of Friday night's fourth-quarter heroes against LFO, dropped in a game-high 20 points to pace the Tigers (17-5, 9-2), while Blake Goldsmith added 15.
Ringgold will play its final two games at home this week. On Tuesday, they entertain Coahulla Creek before Murray County makes a return trip to David Moss Gymnasium for Senior Night on Friday.
